You can use wireless, I get good pings on it usually. Below 20 sometimes on close servers. Just remember to stop the Wireless Zero Configuration' if it's running.
Go to start/run type in services.msc and when window pops up scroll down to Wireless zero config and right click n select stop. Close the window n go back to playing.

Close any background tasks that are running, even anti virus n firewalls, msn n xfire etc. I never play with mine on n haven't been hacked yet!

Don't watch porn while playing either!
