  • EA Support

sucks balls. I've learned that they reply from whatever is on the support page. I have also noticed that when you send em a ticket, it's an auto response. it's not a "real" tech support rep.

    Anyways,
On behalf of my computers lag...It still has not gone away. I have delted my cache memory and the bf2 file from my documents file. I do constant updates on everything, everyday. Since, I have an NVIDIA GeForce6150LE, I decided to call best buy (the location of where i bought my comp) and asked a representive that knew what was exactly what i was saying from everything to knowing what i need to do and maybe what you all should do as well. The rep pretty much said, Upgrade my video card. Pay no more then $140. he also recomended to get a little bit more ram. but he said the main concern is the video card. It removes lag and gives better performance.

The day I start my job *knock on wood* that i get it, Im buying a new video card and grabbing almost a gig in ram.

screw you EA....your support sucks and so does your customer service.
    :nerr:

the term 'EA support' is an oxymoron.

kinda like the term 'military intelligence' , 'government organization' or 'microsoft works'

pointless post on my behalf, but I couldn't resist pointing it out

Actually, i have had a few problems, and a real person helped me fix them both times. They actually gave human responses as well rather than typical out of the book or off the screen answers.

actually have posted the problems Im having and didn't get any good results. thats what got me to call best buy for further support. I don't know why he said my graphix card is weak. it's a new graphix card. (which is NVIDIA GE Force6150LE) he pretty much said all you have to do is upgrade my graphis card and not my memory. my memory is @ 890mb of ram.

game will be smoother if you add more ram, i'd go to atleast 2 gigs , but i like 3 is what i have, smooth at heck.
what card are you going too?

i've had both from EA , automated & human, more automated than human, what they or there computer does is search its help files & if matches come up it just kicks it back to you.

but like virus said i think the forums are more helpful, faster also

I'll be sticking with the RAM. I'll be grabbing my 1 gig soon. all i really need is a gig, right? My comp had 1024 MB ram now its at 890. so, if i get a gig, I should be good?

Go onto http://www.crucial.com/uk/ and use their memory scanner to see what your computer can handle.

I sent two tickets to EA Support.
The first was about a new glitch a former clanmate found, and I summitted a video and pic to EA to fix it. I got a real persons answer, that it will be forwarded to the developers team and that they will try to fix it with the new patch. Still waiting for that one, lol.
Second was a general complain about SF stats not working properly. I didn't get the expert combat medic specialist badge added to my stats. I got a auto reply that was no help at all.

I think that if you have something special they will actually have a real person handle it, but if it's just the tipical "BF2 lags, I don't get my badges" stuff you will get an auto reply. If that's the case I suggest you to insist on your problem until they get a real person answer you.
