What strategies can you recommend to use with Helis? I can never find a way to use them that I like and I just doonmt find them any fun. How do you usually use them?

depends, usually you want to get the jump on them, and also, depends on numbers.. 1-2 HAA, and if you're smart w/your helos you'll be able to take them out. 3-4 HAA, time for flares and running :) Mediums can usually be dealth with fairly easy.
If you're using heavies the main idea is to flank to the back of their spawn and hunt down the arty players -- you get a nice amount of TA for taking out Heavy Arty. You can work your way back to the front lines from there, working over tanks / etc to help your team. But dont spend too long in their spawn, the guy who had those 2 Heavy Arty's isnt coming back with more, he'll have plenty of HAA waiting for u when he respawns...Comment

I usually just do, 2 heavy + 1 scout at the start of the round. Granted you will have to wait an extra 7 seconds to get enough money for the scout, but it's well worth it.Comment

it seems that they've increase the range of HAAs since demo... playing heavy chopper was a LOT easier in the demo than in the actual game. guess people are getting better too.
basically if you want a good score heavy chopper is the only way to go imo. you dont get as much points for destroying a chopper with med as destroying a tank with heavy.
but if you are all heavy, be careful of enemy med, if you see them, run like hell to the closest friendly AA. unlike HAAs, those med can catch up to you and have a long range too.
personally i find AA strikes useless (the TA), enemy choppers move too much. as for encountering HAAs, if it's 1, i take it out with flare. if it's 2 or more, i try to TA if they are stationary or i'll ask for artillery/ground support.
a troop transport hidden somewhere at the back of ur spawns (in the trees) is a good way of keeping ur choppers alive and getting more TAs.
make sure heavy choppers have the "passive" option on (forgot what it's called, but it stops them from firing until u tell them to). or else they'd be firing at a range with 60% accuracy and wasting ammo.Comment

usually a smart arty player would have his own HAA defending his arty, so i would just go follow the tank... except most of the time they are cowards and run away when they see heavy chopper, AT infantry, or other heavy tanks... which leaves me dealing with those crazy thingies and get destroyed.
biggest hint for AA: dont try to run around and chase after choppers, they are A LOT faster than u are. best u can do is get 3AAs and 2 repairs and stick with the tanks.
repair gives lots of points too. ^^Comment

I would have to say I agree with Idaeus, your never a coward running away from Heavy AA, they can tear your tanks apart in a second, in fact I would call you a plain moron for standing around taking their fire unless you had AA support.Comment
