Video Mode problems in COD4

Hey guys i am new to the totalcod4 forums. But my one question i have is i can't change my video mode. i am running 2 7800gtx video cards and when i set my video mode it closes out and i get a direct X error and then another message pops up and says that COD4 shut down improperly and do u want to run in safe mode. I have tried several ways and still can't get it working so i hope that u guys can help me get this figured out because my graphics look HORRIBLE and would like them to look better :)

2 GPu and have graf. problms?? did u set them to work together from bios??
W driver do u use?? DX??

There really needs to be a sticky on the top of this forum telling people of the incompatibility of XFire and CoD4:MW when changing video settings.
