COD4 Server

Hi everyone,

I own my own COD4 server, just a couple questions about configuring it

at the moment in the server browser, it takes forever for it to come up (around 1 min), whereas other servers take no time at all. i live in australia so there arent too many servers and i want mine to show up quickly when people resolve servers with the ingame browser.

is there a trick to getting the server to come up quickly, like a short name?

I'm not sure if this is true, but it may take a while for the "Master Server" to locate your server. Say the master server is located in Los Angeles, California (USA), it might take longer to find your server than, say, one in New York (USA). I could be completely wrong though...

I believe I read that the longer the server is active, the quicker it will come up in the Master Server list as well. Newer servers take longer, while long-time servers come up quicker. Not sure if restarting the server would affect this or not (ie. reset the time), but it's possible.
