BF2 lagging

I play on my laptop, it was working perfectly until a week ago. I get on and its lagging. I tried repairing the game, tried updating punkbuster, tried restoring the system but nothing worked.

My laptop is a Toshiba, 2GB DDR, 250 GB Hand Drive, Windows Vista Ultimate Edition. If anyone has any suggestions please respond.

have u tried scaning for viruses, spyware etc? and then do a defrag?

People have been having problems with Punkbuster lag starting a little while ago. I would be willing to bet that's your issue, even if you update. I use Vista x64 and it really helped when I added another gig to me machine (3GB). It also cut down on my pagefile usage.

This game was designed before Vista, maybe
that's why?

Try deleting ur cache files in 'my documents'

Im going to try defragmentor.

Reply to last post: The game was working perfectly until one day i began lagging, so it goes fine with Vista, just that there is some sort of problem I can't fix. When I do, I will let everyone know.

Please continue with suggestions, so far nothing's working.
