    Battlefield 2 player. Would I like COD4?

I'm an avid bf2 player and I was just wondering. I'm thinking of purchasing Call of Duty 4, but my Bf2 clan is giving me mixed results about the game so im not sure if I should buy it or if it going to be a disapointment since I play Bf2?

Just looking for some friendly advice

Yes you should buy it. If only to try the new chopper gunner-screen.

And btw, "roger that" doesn't mean "yes"... It is more of an affirmative response.

Well my advice for you is that you can still play both games despite what a lot of people are saying about comparing them both. COD 4 will always be a COD game which is basically mainly about single player. Battlefield2 will always be a Battlefield game which revolves around vast field of "online" Multiplayer.

COD4's online insn't focused on large maps and vehicles. They will have small arena just like Resistant - Fall of men, F.E.A.R., Medal of Honor etc... because those games are soley for offline single player story mode.
BF2 focus on huge vast terrain with vehicles and army battles like Unreal,AA, QuakeWars and TF. These games are meant to be played online only and that is what differents them from the others.
So it all comes down to if you like solo missions and deathmatches mainly then COD4 will do perfectly.
If you enjoy having mass army co-oping and vehicles all out war then BF is for you.
I will basically be playing both because they are not of the same style. I hope this helps a little.

I just bought COD4 yesterday and I have to say it is an alright game. If your main thing is small maps, lots of bullets and grenades flying every where, and intense street/ally fighting then I think you'll enjoy CoD4 for a while. I think the maps are a little small exactly like Counter Strike.

If you've ever played CSS I would say it is very similar to that, except much more intense.

If you like big maps, lots of vehicles and GOOD teamwork, then my advise would be to stick with BF2.

I think these two guys summed it all up. I am not getting COD4, as I will stick to CS:S and BF2 for a while.

best answer in the thread. if you like large open maps and vehicles cod4 is a pass. also the demo is only single player so your not going to get a good idea of just how craptacular the multi player is.
