I need some info please...

One of my admins tested rcon and tempbanned himself for 1 hr
Now the problem is i tried to unban him via console like /rcon unbanuser name
yes i was logged into rcon as status etc all works fine

I cannot find the ban.txt anywhere in my Cod4 install, does anyone have any ideas if Tempban creates this file or not and how can you unban this as console doesn't seem to unban ?

if Im getting this right, it wouldnt be in your install, it would be on the servers install. Again, Im just going by what I think you mean. Hope I helped. =D

Yes thats what i ment lol i have checked the dedi's install (all folders) and its not there :/

The command for COD4 is /unban [name]

Ahhh great you don't happen to have that link handy do you please
This is what i had saved from some post some where but didn't work but i am conerned about the ban.txt still lol should it be there in the install.

UnBanning Players
UnBanning players is a little more complicated. There are currently 2 built-in ways to unban a player: 1) using the unBanUser command; 2) Connecting to your server via FTP and removing the player from the ban.txt file. If you banned players using 3rd party software, check with its user guide for info on “unbanning”.
Using the above example banned example, to remove the ban for “You Suck!”, you would issue the following, matching the players name exactly:
Example: /rcon unbanuser “You Suck!”

Cheers and after i re-booted the server ban.txt was there

All i need now is a ingame menu lol
