Another Quick news update of an upcoming vehicle within EoD. You flyboys better watch yourselves flying over the Jungle.
The ZSU-57 was built by the Soviets in the 1950's. It is based on the T54 Chassis. It did not see any field deployment by the Soviet army in actual combat. First useage of the ZSU against aircraft was by the North Vietnamese Army against the United States during the Vietnam War.
Its twin 57 mm AZP S-60 cannon could fire at a rate of 70 rds per minute per barrel. It was capable of firing up to about 14,000 feet. It was very effective against low flying helicopters, but not so effective against jet equipment fielded by the US military. It did not elevate high enough and was not able to track quick enough to keep up with the speed of modern jets.
Look for more news on new equipment to be posted soon! I will be posting up more updated photo's of the ZSU over the next week. :yay:
