Jesus...there is nothing wrong with the hit detection! All of you who are complaining about the hit detection either cannot aim, have really bad connections, or just have nothing else to whine about. Here's what you should do, TRY aiming and then shooting, one of the hit detection vids posted up here...the sniper wasn't even on target when he shot...I wonder why his round didn't hit...hmmm? /sarcasm

The hit reg, i believe is fine. I used to think it was off and didn't register a lot, until i learned how to shoot... Exactly as every says. Hold breath, wait for gun to stop swaying, and shoot! I haven't missed since, when i had my shot lined up correctly.

tonight i finally learnt how to pwn with the r700, definetely glad i did. The only complaint i have still is the fact that your supposedly special forces guy hyperventilates after holding his breath for 2 seconds. Any rifleman knows how to time his breathing and slow it down.

Well, a moving target is debatable and easier to hit if you are off... a stationary target is a true example of registration problems.

I have sniped in the previous CoD's and have never had a problem similar to this. It is outrageous to have to hold your breath for 2 seconds before firing with the size of the maps.

Holding your breath should make YOU able to steady the crosshairs easier, but the bullet should GO where the crosshairs are!

I seconded this, it is perfectly fine. It don't matter if its NOT moving or MOVING. I still hit them dead on, just got to take in account of lag, so when there moving, aim a little ahead and lead them. If their NOT moving, take in account for bullet drop..


BTW, This is all coming from me.. Which all I use is the .50 cal barret sniper, all the other snipers suck. :salute:

It's a whole different story when you can fire-fire-fire than if you miss, you die.

That's why I'm waiting to rank up to 49 so I can snipe with the .50 cal without looking like a semi-spammer :)

50cal has the same power as the R700, that being said, no. Sometimes doesn't 1 hit regular target, and I don't think it will ever 1 hit a juggernaut. (headshots obviously don't count)
