Hey on levels like countdown on single player, the enemies keep respawning no matter how many you kill right? Just making sure im not loosing my mind because ill sit there with and RPD and mow wave after wave down and the seem to keep on coming at me.

That is correct. All the maps have areas like that. If you do not advance, the spawning doesnt seem to turn off and they keep coming. When you get to an area, its like the game says, "OK, they made it. Good job, you win."
Playing through SP the second time, I take my time at these spots and just go to shooting. It can be pretty fun.
