Can two people play multiplayer?

Can two people, split screen, like on Call of Duty 3 play on multiplayer? Or is it one at a time only? Thanks. Xbox 360.

Not sure about local, but I know you can't on Xbox Live.

So they lost the old technology? Why would they do that?

Not really sure, but it might be because 2 people playing on the same Xbox would make CoD4 lag because it's better graphics.

COD3 was made specifically for Console only (no PC version), by a different company (Treyarch), not Infinity Ward. When this happens, companies often do not share their code with the next version.
