"One shot, one kill" mission help anyone?

So, I'm on the mission "One shot, one kill" (the one where you are Price 15 years ago). I killed the target, got to the LZ (after being eaten by dogs a lot ), but I can't seem to hold the LZ until the chopper arrives. I'm on "Hardened" difficulty (3rd) btw. Does anyone have any good strats for holding out the entire time? The enemies always come around to the right side (if you are sitting on the hill) of the faris wheel and hit me from there, plus the guys from the front on get their MGs and blow me away if I poke my head up. I really don't see how I'm supposed to last the entire time. The farthest I got was ~1,000m until the chopper arrived. Did I just put my claymores in horrible places or something?

Also, how useful is C4 here and what are the best weapons to have. I currently have the sniper and a pump shotgun. The shotgun seems to work well but is the assault rifle better in this case?

Any help is appreciated. I don't want to resort to cheating to win (but I might have to at the rate I'm going :hmm:).

yeah, you have to adjust your aim depending on the flag on the car. Watch the wind speed and direction, and fix your aim accordingly. It takes afew tries to get everything correct.

Watch the flag. When the wind dies down, aim at the right edge of his head. The wind will carry it to the left a little giving you a dead on hit.

its best not to shoot at all until macmillan tells you your running out of time. at that point there is no wind and he generall stays still for enough time to take a shot.

same dude, i was on hardered and it took me over 20 tries, the mission after it is as hard. Its just crazy.

The trick is to camp out at the cars to the left, with a ak, and shoot the guys dropping down from the choppers there... then u just defend ur self till the chopper arrives... its not to hard... took me like 50 tries tho... and when I made it I shot one of my teammates, friedly fire not allowed, so I had to do it like 50 times more...

If that Ferris Wheel part seems impossible, you should try it this way

I personally sit near the bumber cars, and shot whole clip to everything what moved..

You could also go to where the first wave of enemies come.

There will be an alleyway and at the end there is a door, it will be open once the first wave of enemies come (if you go too early, it will be closed). Place claymores outside of the door for the dogs that come after you and lay down in the end of the hall.

Here's a tip for the hold out:

Before you put MacMillan down on the hill, place all your 8 Claymores (assuming you didn't use any before the hold out) and your 3 C4 charges in the general area where the enemies will advance towards the ferris wheel.

Then bring MacMilllan to the hill and he'll give you 8 more Claymores and 3 more C4. Again, place the Claymores and C4 in the general area where the enemies will advance from. Now you will have 16 Claymores and 6 C4 charges out on the field and will give you more of an edge to survive the onslaught.

So you can't find the place where u need to go after the helo crashes?

I don't remember how it goes exactly, but im glad that youtube had video of this mission.
