Hey guys I just got the game and i love it, been a loyal fan since the release of COD1 for pc and was a little leary of how COD4 would turn out after the debacle with COD3, but am thoroughly impressed. It lives up to the name.
I am running it at these settings
Res:1024.768
AA:4x
Textures:Extra, High, High
AF:8x(roughly)
Dynamic Lighting, Water Detail, Object Detail: Normal
Everything else turned on
My system is:
AMD Athlon 64 3800+ Venice
XFX 8800GTS 320Mb XXX Edition (580/900)
1 gig generic DDR400 HP Ram
CoolerMaster Real Power Pro 750W
Sound Blaster Audigy 4
Asus Ameberin Mobo
At those settings(which are optimal system settings), I get decent framerates but noticable slowdowns during certain scenes. My hd is defragged, processes ended, reg cleaned, etc. Should I expect such slowdowns with my system specs? Does any aspect of my system desperately need an upgrade? (Im thinking of going 2g OCZ Platinum and an AMD Opteron 185 2.6Ghz Dual Denmark Core, would that help considerably?) Or can I tweak anything to boost my framerates?
Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.
