Do I need a new Video Card?

I got COD-4 today and i installed everything and it went smoothly. As soon as i was going to get into the single player mode, a damn error message came up and stated "video card or driver doesn't support UBYTE4N vertex data". If figured if this is a hardware problem then im screwed because i got a laptop, and if it is a software problem maybe a patch? Im sure people on here would know......thanks for the help.

by the way the same thing happens for mulitplayer mode

that's part of the new X3000 chipset, but I don't know if it can run the game.

perhaps you could try http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest selecting Call of Duty 4 and see what the results are.
