Sniper level need help *Kinda spoiler*

Okay on the last bit (i think) of the sniper level where you have to follow this guy and he's like a good sniper. And then at the end of the level where you have to carry him around. Then finally you put him down to fight this massive army and they keep coming to the helicopter arrives. I only got to the point where the heli is still 2000mm away. I've died abunch and this is on hardened mod but the whole game seem'd fairly easy it's just this part is so freakin hard and I was just wondering if there was some secret tatic you had to do to defeat it. I tried everything. I think I probably have over 100 deaths on that part. Just trying and trying my best to beat it because the SP is soo much fun and I dont want it to end because I can't beat 57857235782 soldiers coming at me from every direction for 10 minutes straight.

The way i did it was i set up the claymores on the outskirts, then i picked the first waves off with my m21, then when i ran out of ammo, i picked up one of their ak's and i went to the side near the ferris wheel and took them out, while spamming nades and flash bangs endlessly. Then when the helo was like 1500m away, i just ran around shooting lol. That seemed to do the trick

^^ what he said, make sure you ditch the pistol and pick up something automatic, and make sure you use all your claymores to take out as many as possible

yeah once you run out of sniper ammo, ditch the m21 and your pistol and pick up like 2 ak's, or an ak and a shotgun, and then just run around blasting.

I set some claymores on the right side of the ferris wheel and hid behind the tree next to it. It worked for me :). (Played it on the 3rd difficulty).
and i used the ak that was on the ground by the car.

yea, the secret is having an automatic rifle with you.

What I did was when I started carrying the guy, I thought, "no way am I keeping my pistol." and I picked up an M4 ( I think ). Claymored everywhere and sniped the people at the distance and machine gunned the guys up close.

I stayed to the right of the ferris wheel and let the other guy take the left.

The trick is to camp out at the cars to the left, with a ak, and shoot the guys dropping down from the choppers there... then u just defend ur self till the chopper arrives... its not to hard... took me like 50 tries tho... and when I made it I shot one of my teammates, friedly fire not allowed, so I had to do it like 50 times more...

i just get have an AK and the m21 and sit next to macmillan. works everytime, when i get near dying i just go prone and wait to regenerate my health.

dude this mission is super hard, i'm on the part where the chopper still has 6000km to go where the hostile choppers start to come in. Me and Mac are surrounded completely, it doesn't get hard until they start to throw flashbangs, then i'm screwed because the dogs attack while i'm blind!
and my only guns are the m21 and the rpd which only has 49 shots left in it.
All of my claymores and C4 is gone.

This worked for me.

Grab an AK, or RPD. You can keep your snipe if you want, doesn't matter. Go to the far right (on the border between non-radiated and radiated zones) next to the bumper cars. Go prone and wait. McMillan along with all the other important characters are pretty much invincible so you won't have to worry about him. When I did this only about 1 dog, 2 soldiers, and 1 random grenade came. But the other times, almost nothing comes. Once the heli comes just start blasting and throwing out nades like crazy. I did this on Hardened the first time I came around to it. And...some how I was able to snipe my way through on Veteran on my second round through the game...

After dieing nearly 40 times, so I finally got the idea of taking up position in the little ticket stand thing to the left of where we put mac. I would just stay prone in there watching the door and throwing back all the grenades they threw in. I planted all my c4 before hand by the cars as well as behind the concrete barriers for when the helicopter finally arrived I would blow them up to help make sure I didn't get shot by the bunch of guys out there while getting mac out. Oh and my claymores were setup to cover my shack as much as possible.

I know it's a pretty lame way to do it...But after spending an hour or more on it, I just wanted to move on.

I did it on 2nd difficulty today and got it first try. Although you guys did have it on a harder difficulty I think 50 might be a tad too many. Anyway, I simply sat where Mac was and sniped away. Most of the bullets just hit him instead of me. I set all my claymores and made sure I sniped the guys quick-roping from the choppers.

You ain't the only one... But i did little compromise with the dogs and started to mow them down with AK every time they get close
