Guest Issue

I just have one question and its probably a dumb one. I've been trying to figure out if I can play multiplayer with a guest or a friend signed onto my xbox with his account too. I know I can't do that with ranked games but is there a way to play player matches like in COD 3 with a guest or 2 profiles on one xbox. Please answer I'm begging.
