MP problems

So, the first time I entered the MP menu I went to join a server, changed the filters, refreshed, and then nothing but a contentious "Waiting for Response from Master Server". I've had this problem in CoD2 as well. Also in CoD2 often when servers would show I wouldn't be able to connect to them anyway. Only occasionally could I connect. I really could use some help with this.

EDIT: Also, I just tried to connect to a server, and just like in CoD2, the little awaiting connection timer counted until the connection timed out.

i am having the same problem. whenever i try and join a server it awaits connection until 11 seconds and then the connection gets timed out. can anyone help?

Yea , getting the same "time out" error over and over on multiplayer. Please help.

same here but i seem to get in after 3 or 4 tries but still its very annoying

I've been in and out MP several times with no problems... About5-6 servers up.
What are you guys setting your server filters to???

i see about 470 servers

yea i see a ton of servers up too.. and the failures are timing out, it just counts to 11 and times out.

When I hit refresh it shows getting info from 520 servers and only 5 show up.
It's set to ALL so I don't know

I played a earlier and had now problem getting on a server. Now I try to join and it counts up to 10 and says server error. Now when I tried it again it said Awaiting Cd Authentication.

WTF is this about!

Oh and I see 577 servers.

I was able to play just now, didnt do anything different, like that other guy said, it might just take a few tries. my guess would be whatever makes sure you have a valid cd key is probably swamped today?

Everyone I know has been having this issue. Keep trying and you will get on.

I imagine they are having a system overload, like what trebonik said.

it seems there's quite afew little bugs here with COD4, i've been getting that same problem all day.

Same with me, but I've managed to pretty much play around the problem.
Nice and responsive interface though, except for this difficulty.

I was getting that error 8/10 attempts.

My clan server is not yet configured due to needing to upload the entire 5.2GB game to the GSP -- along with everyone and their mother.

I finally said, "I see it's Single Player night" and everything has been :yay: since.
