BF2 on Windows 2k

Hello, I was wondering if BF2 would work on windows 2000 even though the system requierments says XP only. I've read that it does work but I wanted to really make sure before I buy the game. Also I would like to know if BF2 works on a Pentium D processor because I've read that some people have been having problems with processor compatibility :|: .


System Specs:
Windows 2000
Intel Pentium D 3.2Ghz
1.5Gig Ram
XFX GeForce 7600 GS

You should download the BF2 demo and see if it works.

Demo and full retail work fine on 2000; I've been running it since the game was released. If you want to buy downloadable direct from EA though I believe the EA downloader only works on XP. If you're interested in modding, the BF2 editor also only installs on XP (although it supposedly runs in 2000 once you get it installed).
