    It is hard to estimate how much you could gain by overclocking. It would probably not make that big of a difference. Overclocking is a trial & error thing, where you find the fastest setting your processor can run on without crashing. However, if you purchased an already assembled computer, chances are those settings are disabled in the BIOS.

    I would really start by getting a faster video card. The radeon X1600 is just slow. If you upgrade the video card & upgrade the memory to 2GB, you should be able to get pretty good performance on your system. The GeForce 7600GT or 8600GT would probably be a reasonable choice. ATI/AMD currently does not have any upper midrange gaming cards in the lineup
