I suppose you could be right or wrong, depending on your perspective.

It's quite easy to determine whether or not someone is fulfilling his duties in the chopper: is he destroying armor and helis? You can usually tell by how many frags the crew/person is getting in a set time: anything less than a specific number, and they aren't/he isn't performing, at which point I take over when possible.

I work with a meritocratic system in mind, so better players get first dibs. Of course, it's actually quite rare I'll come across another like-skilled soloer, pilot or gunner, so that's not usually a consideration.

In reality, when I come across another great heli player, I double-up with him. It just doesn't happen very often...

Enough about intentional TK's, anyone ever have "one of those days"? Started out on Karkand on the left hand USMC spawn. Flanked the usual grenade spam and lobbed grenades at the rear of the MEC line. As the USMC broke the stalemate and swarmed forwards, onto my grenades. 4 tk's, oops. No one punished, luckily. Moved onto square, lobbed grenades at the spawn by the TOW, same thing happened. Picked up another 3 or 4. Laid mines at the ramp to stop enemy vehicles, only to collect a full HUMVEE. Eventually changed to a spanner and followed tanks around :) picked up like half my TK total in one game.

Sounds like you should have just turned the computer off and walked away.

As for the thread itself, the TK's you mention seem accidental or a serious run of bad luck as where they are discussing intentional team killing here. Also I may be wrong but I think the person that started the thread was just trying to conduct a little opinion poll and it got as little out of hand.

The irony is fat. Two intentional teamkillers are trying to argue who has more right to teamkill. Unless you forgot, punishing for teamkilling is in the games mechanics, which makes it a tehcnically "illegal" activity, no matter how you slice it. BAN and KICK functions are there for a reason.

Im just amused that people take pride in teamkilling others and the judge others for teamkilling aswell.

First off the punish option for team killing is exactly that, an option so as for it being "technically illegal" as you put it, well I guess that depends on the admin that is running the server and how he has that option set. However for the record and so we are clear on this, I make it a point not to intentionally team kill but you seem to want to take this one amusing incident to try and bring me down to your level because you feel it’s the only way your argument will have a merit

As for the pride comment, well if I am proud of anything it's the fact I helped drive a hacker off the server, which by the way hacking is "technically illegal" as you put it, not that I team killed.

Your comment about arguing who has more of a right to team kill, well as far as I see it there is no argument to be had. It's pretty clear that hacking is a direct violation of the rules where as team killing someone because you don't like how they are flying a chopper or using the armor is completely subjective to an individual players interpretation and hacking is not. Also before you go and argue with me over the proof that he was hacking let me say this, there were 64 players on that server and we all agreed after watching this dumb *** for 2- rounds that he was hacking and that is proof enough for me, it’s not like we were handing him an actual death sentence. In my opinion he got off easy being team killed, he is lucky PB did not catch him or that none of the server admin’s were on at the time otherwise he may have ended up with a global ban.

What amuses me is that your trying to validate your argument by comparing a onetime incident involving a known hacker that was disrupting the server to what you guys are doing and they are not even remotely close. Also your comment about the Kick/Ban functions, well that works fine if there is an admin on at the time.

So youre once again trying to justify intentional teamkilling as a valid act? Do you know that vigilantes are also considered criminals?

So no, youre no different from a gentleman with the M95 on a carrier.

Do you get a TK for redlining? No. Do you get TK's when you take a jet on Wake FF OFF? Erm.. Yes

                      Chris,

You are wasting your time trying to compare this one amusing incident to some dumb *** that is standing on a carrier sniping pilots out of planes because he wants’ to fly them. I can't see how any reasonable person can even remotely begin to draw a comparison let alone take it as far as you have.

For the record I don't think that team killing for any reason is a good idea or very sportsman like conduct, just like I don't believe in killing people in real life is a good idea. However, just as in real life sometime it's is justifiable depending on the circumstances and wanting to fly a plane or drive a tank is not one of them.

The way I see it when you hack you ruin the game for multiple people, When you TK a hacker on purpose then you just ruin the game for the hacker and help out other people. as for you saying that vigilantes are also criminals there is no rule against intentional team killing set by EA yet their is one against hackers. So in this case the vigilantes are not doing anything illegal unless it is a violation of the server rules, and for some reason hacking is not. however hacking is always against EA's rules no matter the server.

If its just blatant team killing against random people then no its not ok but if you have a valid reason and he is ruining the game for others then it is sometimes ok. If EA wanted to make TKing illegal they would of...

                        1. Take out FF at least for vehicles
                        2. Force a punishable TK limit
                        3. Make kick votes actually work

Tking is like littering on the lawn of a meth lab owner's house, Assuming the trash stays there in the meth owners yard. It only annoys the owner who is doing a much worse crime then littering. You get a fine for littering and you get a kick for constantly Intentional Tking. You go to jail for owning a meth lab you get a ban for hacking.
