  • Battlefield glitching/skipping ....

    Hey guys,

This has been happening for a while, when I play BF2 or BF2142 sometimes the screen skips a lot, it looks like it would be a FPS problem but it isn't.

Fraps says I'm running fine on BF2142 all high aax4 and I get 40-60 FPS and the frame just skips as if it was a low FPS.. Also it really does it bad when I'm in the gunner seat on BF2.

Any idea what this could be? Could it be lag from the server or punkbuster? Cause sometimes I don't get it at all

    I have:
    Amd Althon 64 x2 5000+
    eVGA Geforce 7900 GTX
    2GB ram

yeah could jsut be low bandwith for what ever reason, server slow, or high ping to it.

check your ping, if above 100 IMO i wouldnt even join, also check when your in game not only for your ping, but avg ping of other players, you see players with high pings, it will drag the server.

Could well be your hard drive going mad trying to read stuff, a common problem if the disk is heavily fragmented.
Try defragging your HD using the built in Windows Defrag application, or if you have a third party one, use that!
