Yet another Console Question - Command Input.

I have been advise to input a command into the console to reduce my ping.

In-game (multiplay), I hit the "end" button to call up the console and typed in a "rcon exec settingsmanager.floatset GSDefaultLatencyCompensation" command. I got the following message:

"not authorised, you can only invoke the following commands: profile, login, logout, help".

I have read various threads which tell you how to input a command, so I believe I am doing it right. Do I have to input some form of login command first?? Can anyone explain what I might be doing wrong.

Just do this:

settingsmanager.floatset GSDefaultLatencyCompensation

No rcon exec

Ok, did that with no problems. How can I see what my ping rate is normally..

What does that command actually do?
