Why uninstall bf2? Keep it on you're computer and play COD4 and not bf2, And uninstall bf2 now if you hate it so much -.-

Plus in a recent interview there will be 65 ranks to achieve and once you have achieved the 65 rank you will unlock the prestige mode which supposedly reset and you start over. You can do this up to 10 times and only people that have the prestige rank can play against each other.

are you serious? That just seems retarted, it will only segregate the community making it harder for clans and friends to play together and 65 ranks??? The US army does not even have half that.

Host: There's so much out there about this game. What do people not know yet about Call of Duty 4, are there some twists or surprises in there?
Collier: There's something we haven't really talked about in multiplayer. Once players actually get to their level cap of 65, they actually unlock something called prestige mode. What prestige mode is is a way for those really competitive gamers to separate themselves from the pack.
Alderman: It resets everything you've done, but you get this cool new icon in place of your rank that says 'I'm awesome' and 'I'm starting over'

Alderman: The 'I am awesome' icon, and there's actually 10 of these. So, you can start over 10 times and keep leveling up, start it all over, and just show how awesome you are.

Will there be Ranking and how does it work?
Yes, there is a ranking system in multiplayer. As you play the game you gain XP = Experience Points, the more XP you gain the higher you will Rank up.

The Ranking loosely follows military Marine ranks although there are more ranks in the game than there are actual Marine ranks, so there will be multiple levels to each rank.

As you Rank up you will unlock more and more weapons and gear to customize your weapon load out. This includes completely new weapons, new sights, new scopes, new grips, new camo schemes, and more.

Prestige mode seems cool for those who are die-hard players and want everyone to know it. However, it's not true that prestige players can only play against prestige players. Prestige mode just resets all of their unlocks as if they were starting from scratch except they get a nifty icon next to their name as stated in the previous post.

Seriously, IW did an awesome job on this game. The graphics cannot be touched. They really did a remarkable job with the engine allowing such great eye candy with smooth frame rates.

I don't mean to slam BF2 but you can only encourage so much teamwork in a public server before you have noobs ruining the whole gaming experience.

Spending money on a nice car makes sense to me, of course if you can afford one, but spending more than a grand on a PC regarless of how rich you are, just so you can play games, is just plain stupidity. That's why I have a 300 bucks home made PC, but I drive a 06 M3 . Besides I haven't met a chick yet that was interested in what kind a computer I have.

I don't know how many of you are with me but when COD 4 comes out I'll be glad to finally be able to uninstall BF2. The game is irritating and the unrealism cannot be matched. No more non-registering hits, art spawns, carrier raping, bunny hopping, force tks for planes/helis just to name a few.

How many of you think you'll put BF2 up for COD 4? :salute:

I will probably play a lot of it, but there are great mods releasing (or already released) for BF2 like AIX and USI.

Ey I don't have that kind of a problem at all. I pick up chicks, have a kick azz computer and I also drive a Honda S2000. My computer is my computer, I upgrade it so I can enjoy the hard work of programmers and companies that spends a lot of time making a kick azz next gen game so it could be enjoyed to the max. It's like why watch DVD anymore when there are HD's and Blu rays.
