Crash to Desktop in vista

any one know how to fix this issue ..
when i go to start the game, it starts to a black screen then back to the desktop

i have a 22' widescreen lcd and did the "C:\Games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050

but that didnt work

im running windows vista, 8800gtx and duelcore cpu with 4g ram

some one plz help

That's strange, try not changing the target line. That whole black screen to desktop thing usually happens if your graphics card isn't good enough, but a 8800GTX should run fine. Strange...

Oh wait, I didn't notice that you were using Vista, try installing the hotfixes or the new 169.01 beta drivers just released yesterday.

well i just install xp to see if i could get the game to work and the same thing i dont understand

I havent tested it yet, but im in the process. But i think it might be something to do with your sound card. What card are you using?
