I remember Conscript saying something about restoring your system to a time when it was working, would work.

"Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore"
Just select a date when it was working properly...

When you system restore I don't think documents get deleted. Only programs and such that you've installed get deleted.

I would back date your computer. Do the system restore.

              Re: invalid cd-key...AGAIN!!!

I know you said you did the regedit stuff, but what did you do exactly? When I had this problem on BOTH of my sets of discs (I have 2 copies of BF2 for me and my brother), I also made a topic and ConscriptVirus replied with this:

              "try this

go to start > run > regedit

HKEY LOCAL MACHINE / Software / Electronic Arts / EA GAMES/ Battlefield 2 / ergc

and in the ergc folder on the right handside, look for "(Default)" and then double click on that and in value data, delete everything in there and type in x9392 and hten ur cdkey without anyspaces or dashes so it looks like x9392DMVE294817 where DMVE294817 is ur cd key (its obvisouly not). then hit okay and restart."

It worked for both sets of discs and I haven't had the problem since.

but if that doenst work then i have no idea cuz thats the only solution i know of to fix that error
