BF2 Launch Problem

Hello, I just got Battlefield 2 today and decided to test it out. I buy it, get home, install it and try to launch it. I double-click on it, I see the BF2 picture, it closes then it goes to a black screen only for like 1/2 of a second and closes. No error message pops up. I met the systwm requirements because me and my dad checked and the same thing happens for the BF2 Demo. I have no idea to fix and I would love it I got it working before my bday ends. Today is my BDAY BTW.

System Specs:

Dell Vostro 200

2Ghz

1.0GB Of RAM

Likely the same problem as I have.

No new (or rather old) monitor, so a problem with the wrong settings in the bf2 cache can be excluded I think.

hmm try going to your disk.. in my computer.. then right click.. and open.. you should see something like ''setup.exe'' or something.. double tap that... maybe that will work (it does to me)

To check your video card do this.

Click start -> run -> type "dxdiag" (without the quotes) -> click the display tab -> read what's next to "name" and "Chip Type". That should be enough to figure out what video card you have.

Try to reinstall your monitor.

I'm Going To Try Something Today. My Dad Says I Do Not Have A Video Card So I Am Taking My Video Card From My Other Computer And Putting It In This One. Going To See What Happens.

you put that card in? if so that one will not run bf2

bf2=system hog, ned a good graphics card , good ram, good cpu, good psu, its worth the trouble though :)

yeah the Geforce 4 card does not support BF2. u wont be able to even turn on the game.
