Well it's back to the basics w/ v1.41....
I installed again in this order:
BF2
BF2: Special Forces
1.41 patch
Load to add multiplayer profile ... added info in appropriate spaces...clicked on enter and ctd. Yesterday, I load the basic BF2 off of the cds. Loaded fine and got my profile from EA/Gamspy...login was ok.
There has to be a fix for this. This is the 3rd time that I have loaded 1.41. Is there something wrong with a particular file that needs to be edited or am I missing some strange setting? I wish that EA would develop another patch to fix this one.
Any help is appreciated....
Update: tried a few minutes ago to 'retrieve' account and that's when I get the CTD....
