Using 1.41 patch CTD while connecting to account server

    Hi,

Loaded the following in this order:
    BF2
    BF2: Sp Forces
    1.41 patch

After pressing the Login button for my "online" account, I get a CTD everytime. Is there a fix for this? Sorry, I'm off to work atm, and I don't have time to go through and read the forums. I've been using the 1.12 version for quite a while and did not upgrade to the latest patch. I've been playing too much of Eve Online. So, coming back to BF2!

BTW. I did go through Gamespy and my accounts are still active! So, I can't figure out the issue.

    Any help is appreciated
    Thx,
    pvtnoob

    Ok, first of all.

Update punkbuster, take a look at the link below..
There where a couple of updates a few weeks ago causing a LOT of stranded players..

If that don't work, delete the Battlefield 2 map, located in My Documents.. This will force the game to boot @ standard settings..

    Report back! :salute:

      (NL)Link,

I updated punkbuster but still have the ctd. And, I deleted all of the folders in BF2 under my documents...still ctd.

      Thanks,

      PvtNoob

          JustMe0171,

I think it's gamespy itself. I checked my account and it is still active. My username and password were updated just a few minutes ago. So, when I started up BF2 and get to the login for new user/account and type in the info and its getting the info from gamspy then it crashes to the desktop.

Any suggestions as to why this is happening?

i dont use gamespy, i dont have a clue.

u could try to delte your profiles & your caches for bf2, that might fix it.
start/my docs/profiles (& mods folder to the cache)
