What is up with PunkBuster?

I start up my computer....again... I just started it up and I go to look at my processes and see this:





What gives? I haven't even played BF2 yet and it's running in the background right at startup, TWICE!!!!

This has been going on for like 2 weeks now and I've noticed my game play being a lot slower.

Yeah, PnkbstrA and B messed up for me earlier tonight, so I had to restart my PC to allow those pesky services to come back.

All that trouble for an anticheat solution that doesn't really work. Reminds me of gun control...
