I installed the program but when i open it the autorun screen pops up, so i click play BF2 then a couple seconds later the the screen goes black for about less than 2 seconds then it goes back to the desktop, I checked the easyinfo stats and found that you need 128.0 display mem and my system only got 64.0, I have an Intel 82865G graphics controller, can i fix this problem or would i have to buy a new video card?

Re: Problem with battlefield 2
u have to buy a new video card. the intel "video cards" do not support BF2 no matter wat u do.
i would u recommend u get at the very least a 6600gt which are pretty cheap nowadays. -

Re: Problem with battlefield 2
Okay, well thanks a lot for your input, i looked at a nvidia Geforce 6200 on sale right now for 39.99 and about 35.00 for them to install, will this vid card run this program well, since i most likely wont be playing online anyway?Comment

Re: Problem with battlefield 2
IMO, if your'e getting a new card, a 6200 isnt a big leap from what you currently have. I'd suggest EVGA's 7800GS:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130274
But if you don't have enough cash for that, try EVGA's 6800:
And don't pay to install, its quite simple, and not worth wasting 30 bucks on.Comment

Re: Problem with battlefield 2
actually pretty simple, but make sure you get the card slot right, like PCI , AGP, or PCI-E, what ever your MB has before ordering.
mainly cut all power, open case, find a empty AGP slot, snap it in, screw in top realy easy to see. put case lid back on, fire up pewter , it will prompt for your cd.
but like Link said it will have install instructions, cant go wrong with those.Comment

yea i wouldnt pay for someone to intsall a video card.

Re: Problem with battlefield 2
go to this site (below) & in the dropdown box choose battlefield 2 and then hit the "can i run it button" it will tell youwhat you need , recommendations & all.
if you talkin about slots, open your computer, if there white there PCI , if there black there PCI-E and burgandy is AGP, thats they way it is on my MB anyway.
