Will my system be okay for these upcoming games?

I can play Oblivion on full settings with a res of 1920X1200 now and have a direct X 10 video card with 256MB of Vram, 2GB of RAM etc.

Will i be okay for playing games coming out such as

Assassins creed
Call of duty 4: modern combat
Crysis
Spore

etc?

depends on the video card, saying its DX10 doesnt give a great level of detail,,

Start > Run > Dxdiag , click the Display tab it will tell you what your graphics card is

It could be a GeForce 7300le with 256 memory, it's still crap.

But, as you claim you can play Oblivion at that resolution, i'm going to say yes (although you didn't state whether it's like watching a Powerpoint presentation or not )

Nah, its smooth. Obviously when its loading a whole new area it will be a little jittery but from then on its smooth as anything.

Assassins creed looks a lot like oblivion, especially in the scene when riding into the city. Although there seems to be more crowds in AC than OB

^ thats not a dx10 card..

dx10 cards are nVidia 8xxx / ATi 2xxx

you gona get Bioshock? its an awsome game but haha its got insane system requrements o and use this site so you can test your comp for games

You have a DX10 card but you don't know what it is? That's like saying I drive a car but don't know what kind lol. The Geforce 8600GTS only has 256MB and it's DX10. Having a fast GPU on a card is great but to play some of the new games on high resolution you need the memory to store all those textures. There is a mod for Oblivion that revamps all the textures to super high resolution. Download that modification and tell me if you can run it on high.. oh and with full HDR
