BF2 Won't Update

I downloaded the full BF2 1.41 update off the EA site and I did the install thing with it but when I go into the game it still says I'm at 1.1.2 something. I can't get any servers doing this and I want to play. Any ideas?

Edit: Ah ha, I found what my problem was. In order to use 1.41, I need one of the expansion things. What is the most recent patch that does not need an expansion pack, just standard BF2 with nothing else?

There is only one 1.41 patch, and it covers expansions and bf2.

yeah and the 1.1.2 thing is correct. if u cant get onto any servers, then i would do a full reinstallation of BF2 then the patch. u dont need any exp packs to install

u should see 1.1.2965-797.0 in the top corner of ur menu and if u see something else then u dont have the right patch. u most likekly have 1.1.2965-795.0 which means ur still on the 1.4 patch.
