HELP! I can't install for some reason!?!?!

I got BF2 to install but when I launch the game I get

"mods/bf2/shaders/lightning.fx not found!!! _DO_check your working directory, _AND_sync your shaders folder before calling upon your loval rendering programmer/GP.(really!)"

ALSO,
I cannot install the 1.4 patch or any other patch for that matter. How the heck to I fix these issues...I'm dying w/o BF2!

Something failed while installing..

Make sure your cd is clean and try agian..

Also, 1.40 isn't the newest patch, you need 1.41

Do you have a friend with BF..? Try his one.. I got a feeling your cd is damaged..

Tried that too, I bought went out and bought a new game cuz I thought it was damaged too. Guess what....that didn't do it either. I've tried everything so far and nothing is working.

you took out everyting before trying to reinstall? i mean registry & all?

if everytings is clean & you have used 2 disks, just make sure the disks are clean, just to make things smooth i'd do a good cleanup & defrag of computer if you havent done it in a while.

whats your specs anyway?
