    VoIP Question

OK, forgive me if this has been covered but I searched and found nothing.
Can I somehow set the BF2 VoIP to come through my headset while my other game sounds come from my speakers?
I have a hard time understanding the voice mixed in with the game sounds. I tried turning effects down and VoIP up to 100% but it doesn't seem to do much. Please don't write back about TS and Vent and such. I am speaking of playing in the pubs with strangers that happen to be good enough at teamwork to use the games VoIP. Thanx! :)

      Re: VoIP Question

Doesn't the games sound decrease in volume whenever someone talks on VoiP?

        I guess not dude,

BF voip is mixed in game with the effects and music volume.. The only way to boost voip is already tried by you.. (tuning effects low)

I know ur problem. When i play with my speakers on 5.1, i have a hard time to understand what they actually saying.. With my headset though, it's sounds crystal clear..

Honestly, speakers are fine.. But with the right soundcard they never beats my headset..
        Sooo much better...

you could try something with 2 sound cards. oh, wait. No you couldn't because BF2 will only recognize 1 sound card. If you used teamspeak to talk to people this would be possible with 2 sound cards.

            Re: VoIP Question

AS link_2007 stated above, it is mixed with the game, it is not a seperate channel that it is running off, hence while the game goes quiet when somone talks. it is very stupid i know. hope this helpped.

              Re: VoIP Question

Somehow even tho I clearly posted not to reply about TS or Vent, I knew somebody would do it anyway. Point is not when I'm playing with my friends(I use TS then). Point is when I am playing in a server with strangers and happen across a few guys that actually want to work as a team(yeh, it actually happens SOMETIMES). On the rare occasion that this happens, hearing them on the BF2 game VoIP is difficult. Some more than others it seems. My game doesn't seem to go quiet when they speak as some of you that actually read my post suggested(thanx to you guys for reading it thoroughly). Guess it is what it is. Maybe if/when I upgrade my sound, it will help. Thanx for your help and if anyone comes up with anything different, let me know!
