YOU dont need to do this any longer..
Punkbuster released an update yesterday (night), which fixed the "first time joining a server - connection problem"...

YOU dont need to do this any longer..
Punkbuster released an update yesterday (night), which fixed the "first time joining a server - connection problem"...

although all it did for me was it stopped me from entering the game - game stopped responding everytime i tried to enter it...so bye bye update

So you cant connect to a server? I dont understand how people can have these problems.. No problems for me...

Try to install this file the http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/pbsvc/pbsvc.exe
This file installs the new "Punkbuster service files", which HAVE to run to play the game... When you install these files, they should start up automaticaly when windows start....
If that doesnt help, you might want to reinstall the game...

thanks grasli...hmmm im not sure - as i am new to BF and PB...all i did was download PBsetup and then i put that new update inside the folder and ran the update for BF...the game wouldnt start..i got a black screen and the game stopped responding...so i took out the file i put in and re-updated..it works fine now =/
