dude, throwing knives do a **** load of damage and they are accurate and you can do stealth kills.

1942SW made it so that you couldn't retrieve your knife, so if you didnt need to throw it, you could go use it normally.

now that would make it fair, yes in this instance then i agree with it doing the same amount of damage...

it would be funny seeing 2 ppl holding a knife and hoping the other would throw and miss so the other could chase the knife-less person and stab them down =D

Realisticly one bullet wound would do more damage then one knife wound if they were in the same spot.

I think instead of throwing a knife, it would be better to have the option of using the knife as a bayonet in an assault rifle.

yeah but pre-mounted bayonet would be better - replace knife and regular knife used as a throwing one

Can't beleive no one mentioned DSB. They have throwing knives (and jets with tanks for wings).
