As a side note: It's really innacurate to have the SAS use the FN2000 has it's standard assault rifle. It should've been either the M16A2, or the S80 from the Euro force booster pack, since those are the two weapons that are used by the UK armed forces. Instead DICE gave them a French made weapon, as if the British would actually ever use weapons made in that country.

I'm pretty sure most of the weapon choices in BF2 are inaccurate.

For the Russian made weapons, they are 100% accurate. The weapons used by the MEC, Insurgents, etc, are the actual weapons that are in use by people in countries from those regions. I think only Iran uses the G3 as it's standard assault rifle.

The inaccuracies are on the western armies. The Navy Seals using the Scar-H, the SAS using the FN2000, the USMC using the M16A2. These are the ones that kinda stand-out.

At least for the SAS, EA/DICE could just make a patch changing the unlock from the FN2000 to the L85A2, and assign the FN2000 to the Euro forces, instead of being in the SAS army. It would be a nice correction that could add something new to the game.

Those are my stats Gen.Vlade. I wasnt even talking to you in particular and you pretty much dogged me out!! Why dont continue this discussion on the battlefield? When I said under 50m I was talking about my comfort zone. Basically what I was saying is that within that distance no matter what kit my opponent have I will come out the victor. I a damn good all around ground pounder. And I still consider myself a master of the assault class. My stats would be much better if I wasnt using my original account. My KDR is above 2.0 and if I played more it would keep on rising. As you can see most of my points come from ground pounding. I wouldnt understimate me if I was you.

Thats quite an ignorant and pathetic way to view things Vlade. From that point of view I can say ANY gun you use takes no skill because you will become good with it using practice. Your supposed principles are merely a pathetic excuse as to why you suck with the grenade launcher. Also, I don't know Nicfurious but I just couldn't stand seeing a good player getting bashed by a bad one with a swollen ego. I can tell you're ego is swollen from the way you type, you claim this thread didn't deserve any more attention yet you come crawling back to defend your precious reputation, that and you seem to think your better than me and other people, sorry to break it to you bud but any time you want to come and fight me on Bf2 let me know, I'll knock you back down to where you belong, at the bottom of the foodchain. Talking about egos, yes I'll give it up to you, you and your buddy are masters using the GL, actually you are the best gamers in the world. Me, I prove myself elsewhere and bf2 is only an amusement that I practise every once in a while.

While I personally feel that this is not a "Guide" so much as it is a general run down of weapons and accuracy, when to throw smoke etc etc, I do agree with most of it. A guide would have been something along the lines of comparing and contrasting different weapons in different scenarios, how the Assault Kit itself benefits a squad and the team as a whole, how to rush, defend, advance with the kit, and KNOWING when to do so. Things of that nature.

Personally Assault is my favorite kit. I have many hours clocked in on the kit, that and SpecForces Kit. If there's anything I've learned about the KIT rather than the weapons; it's this: stay in a group. In a group, you're about 3 times as lethal, as a lone wolf...not so much. Stay in a group, move as a group, fight as a group. And you'll watch those numbers climb (that is assuming you don't suck and miss every shot, but than again this is Assault Kit not Sniper ;] )

Well anywho, props for the "Guide", was a good read. =)

That's right, I play for amusement. I'm not the one with 60% of his hours spent points whoring Karkand, you are. Also, I never said that I'm the master and better than everybody else, you did and I just questioned that statement because I find the self proclaimed "masters" who write tutorials very funny.

And I wrote the tutorial with the hope of being able to help other players, not for some asshat to come along, insult someone for no reason at all than think he is the victim when people argue back. Anyways, back on topic people, lets not give him the attention he wants. I will be updating the guide soon with a bit more information and fixed formating.

Where did I say I was better than everyone. Me saying I have mastered the assault kit is not saying I am better than everyone. Its just saying I know all the ins and outs of the kit and can use it to its fullest potential. You are the only one to misinterpret my original statement. You went out of your way to "attempt" to bring me back down to size by assuming I was some noob. In the end I never thought my statement deserved such a bashing. I have the right to call myself whatever I choose. Its all self proclaimed. Who knows maybe there are a few tricks with the kit still left for me to learn. But honestly dude I was only trying to compliment CQ on his guide and let him know I too am pretty good with the kit.

This is a good guide, set of ideas, for someone who wants to play assualt but doesnt want to get killed a bunch. It really doesnt matter if hes number one, it only matters that he has some good Ideas. I guess that most people dont have any better ideas or they would (did) post them.

As far as the G/L goes (my favorite weapon) he is right on the money there. Id like to add one more idea, from my bag of dirty tricks. If Im alone, and for some unknown reason everyone on my team doesnt seem to be interested in defending anything, Ill randomly respawn at a rear flag. You would be suprised how many times that you will spawn at a flag that is half way down and a lone medic, everyone wants to play medic, is trying to cap it. The dirty trick comes in here because first the enemy medic is prone trying to hide and so he's an easy target for the G/L. If you doubt that you can resupply the G/L ammo just make sure that the blast from your last granade kills you too. You can respawn at that same flag (with 100% ammo) and the lone enemy soldier must go somewhere else. Most people have a problem taking a suicide but I do not and will if I can save a flag or squad by doing so.

One more dirty trick, last one today. If you are useing the assualt kit that has the flash bang granades, you can use those to assist you in capping a flag. They work well for this. First get within flag raidus and toss one flash bang up in the air, straight up. Youll blind anyone close that way. Next count to ten and throw the second just like the first. keep doing this untill the flag is captured. You should run out about the same time it is captured. The reason that this works is that most players will run away from the flash bang because they dont want to get knifed and they are sure that that is the next thing going to happen, after being blinded. Also remember the flash bangs dont work on tanks so good luck. . . . . . . . . .Red

So I experimented with the Assault Kit weapons in Full-Auto and Semi-Auto. And I must say, the M16A2 was a clear winner in that contest. Firing up close and personal was much better, to mu amusement, because you'd think the rapid fire capabilities of a weapon would make it better in close combat, but than I remember a little something from the rifleman's Creed, which is...

My rifle and I know that what counts in war is not the rounds we fire, the noise of our burst, or the smoke we make. We know that it is the hits that count. We will hit.

So I tested this little saying out, and holy smokes, I found myself getting on average 4-6 more kills per round than normal! I figured testing the guns on Full Auto in close combat (Karkand I/O 64player Map) would prove that the Full-Auto capabilities of the weapons would clearly be more beneficial to the Assault Kit than the Semi-Auto would.

The accuracy you gain in Semi-Auto greatly outweighed the burst mechanics of the Full-Auto.

Well just wanted to share that little ti-bit I came across in comparing the rifles today. Accuracy of Bullets > Quantity of Bullets. :)
