I have a great time playing Battlefield 2, and I could play it for hours on end, but there are cerain aspects of this game that really gets on my nerves. Like the vehicles. Yes there fun to drive but you can enter/exit them in less than a second and get to the gun turret just as quickly. They should at least show the guy getting in and out of his vehicle, and place a delay between entering the turret. They should also put a slot in the front of the tanks so you can shoot the soldier out of it. Don't real tanks have these? you should also be able to climb up on top of the tank and throw a grenade into the entrance hacth on the top. What are some of your thoughts. Is the way they have it know ok or do you agree with what I say?

Re: Vehicle improvment?
i think the vehicles are fine. switching to turret mite seem like a little cheap but its so easy to take those guys out. and also, with helicopteres like blackhawks. most ppl will take the blackhawk and go where htey want to go and then bial out without letting their crew know, so being able to switch into hte pilot seat is quite helpful.
and they dont use those slots anymore...prob in WWII era (like in saving private ryan). im guessing they use special cameras so they can see where theyre going and tanks also have a commander seat (like the gunnr seat) and in the old beta version of BF2, the TANK view looked like it was through a camera
but id like to seethe grenade through the hatch to kill the crew. itll make it so much easier to take out tanks for infantryComment

Re: Vehicle improvment?
I agree. The PR mod simulates that really well. Try it if you have not done yet, it does a lot of the things that VBF2 should do.Comment

I don't like PR because the long spawn times, i just want to get in and kill.Comment

Re: Vehicle improvment?
I agree. When you fall or take any bullet damage, you should be immobilised until your squad mates call for MEDEVAC and the game should be paused for 6 months until you have e-healed. One squad should be assigned to the MEDVAC unit, and they must all hold PHds in Neurology and Immunology, otherwise the game will not start and enter ranked mode. If you are killed by explosives or otherwise fatally wounded, Punkbuster should hardware ban, GUID ban, retinal scan ban, fingerprint ban and DNA ban you. (If religion = Judaism, Christianity, or Islam, your performance will be graded against your respective books and you will be sent to the appropriate place)
Also, vehicles should not spawn out of thin air, which is why DICE needs to add vehicle factories, and a squad must work to assemble each vehicle (mechanical engineering degree, CNC operating license, and planning permission for factory required for successful completion), and then have them transported to the AO by C-130 (the crew operating the C-130 must be qualified military pilots). Also, tanks must have a small slot where opposing soldiers can throw grenades - this would render the game exceedingly realistic.
But, before that, the raw materials must be collected, which is why I propose that DICE should add iron ore, crude oil, sand, and other mineral deposits to maps. A squad (fully accredited and trained by Halliburton Inc©
should take the responsibility of this task.
Now, as for kits, the Medic kit should require seven years of medical school before it is enabled. Likewise, the Spec-Ops kit requires all patrons to hold Class 1 Explosives licences.
There.

Re: Vehicle improvment?
long spawn times? it's only 30 seconds!
I know that this is your interpretation of sarcasm but it just shows the gulf in tastes when that description approximates my idea of the perfect war game. Different strokes I guessI agree. Re: Vehicle improvment?
I breath arcade, that's why. The "tactical simulations" have NEVER been very successful, because they draw a smaller crowd. On the other hand, if the core of a game is arcade, and the mods are tactical, it makes for good gaming :)Comment
