I need help with ingame freezing.

I start the game and I start to play. I'm not new to Bf2 so It's never happened like this before. While I'm playing either about 30 seconds in or 5 minutes in it freezes the screen then the sounds freeze, but then it jumpes back to gameplay and I can play again. Then it does it again and again. I've been playing for a year and it's never done this so please help. I'm thinking it might be my internet connection. But what could cause it all the sudden? Any suggestions? It also does this in single player. so It couldnt be internet connection problems....

I have a radeon something It ran fine for a year no problems untill now I still have orginal version of battlefield 2...So. I'm not exactly sure. I have a emachine. I upgraded the video card so I can play battlefield a year ago and it ran untill now. It run it just freezes and then goes back to playing then freezes then goes back to playing...Even in Singleplayer.

I have a Nvidia Geforce fx 5500

I got it to work I just defaulted my controls....wierd.
