    chopper hitbox

Please explain or show picture where it is? (I've seen some hitbox pics of jets here)

I hate when my TV missile literally goes through the enemy chopper, sometimes even 2 times in a row. I don't blame lag - I have a good ping and no packet loss. Someone mentioned that aiming for tail is a good idea but that is not always possible

It depends on your lag/comp speed. Most have to aim behind the chopper. I believe this is due to the fact that you are seeing the chopper slightly faster than the server, and thus have to compensate for this. I'm sure some chopper aces can go into further detail.

You need to gun for at least 100 hours before you know hitboxes well.

How do you measure packet loss?

This is why I dont get this, gentlemen. I consider myself to be an experienced lagshooter. Ive been playing with pings 100-200 on regular basis for 2-3 years. On infantry, and in most games, I aim ahead of the target, depending on the ping. Now, with choppers I need to aim behind the chopper. And whil I gun the chopper with a jet, I aim ahead (apply lagshooting) to compensate for ping aswell.

            It just doesnt make sense.

Chris, I also don't get this, to compensate lag you aim ahead not behind. How come you have to aim behind?

              WinMTR or ping plotter software

I do have a total 100 hours in chopper as gunner/pilot but still don't get this so if you consider yourself a leet gunner perhaps you could share your knowledge

And this happens only to attack choppers, everything is fine with tanks/apcs/jeeps/transport choppers etc

                There are hitboxes?

j/p, aim where the shadow is, always kill the shadow! (except on DV, then hit the tail area, because in DV the sky is so bright, there are no shadows!)

You know, I heard a lot of people talking about chopper hitboxes and as surprising as it may sound, I've never thought of them when playing.

If you haven't changed any of your interpolation, compensation and extrapolation times, don't worry about it and just shoot a little behind (maybe one or two feet) the object you're aiming at...

That's what I did and it always worked fairly well, with the odd one going through when I was too much on target.

The TV missile view is skewed. Have you ever noticed that when the TV goes through an enemy heli, and you switch out, you CLEARLY miss? It's something to do with interpolation and other crap suddenly changing in the TV view.

Sorry to go on a side note but it is about choppers but it seems here lately when I always get in the USMC attack chopper everything is jerky, Its almost like it is lag but it isnt b/c I could get into the MEC attack heli and it would fly as asmooth as silk.
