please help! trying to play bf2 on laptop...only plays for 5 seconds

I have an HP Pavillion DV6000 media center laptop (bought it 9 months ago). The specs are 1.81ghz AMD Turion 64 x2mobile. I also have a gig of ram. The graphics card on this unit is the GeForce GO 6150. I am not sure what the specs are on this graphics card (cant find it anywhere).

Anyway I purchased BF2 (played it awhile ago and really wanted it!) I am down at school so this is the only computer I could really play it on. I installed the game without a hitch. I first went to options and turned EVERYTHING on LOW. I then set all the sound settings to LOW as well. I went into single player and clicked one of the maps and went to play it. It loaded up just fine and looked pretty decent surpisngly. I spawned and started walking and 5 seconds later it just froze. I could not alt + F4 it, or esc/ windows key my way out of it. I had to restart the comp. Once restarted I tried it again with the exact same results (couldnt get back to desktop).

Anyone know what the problem is? I am guessing its my video card BUT I know when it dosnt work on others setups it wont even load the game. The game actually looks pretty good for the 4-5 seconds I get to play lol.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

***EDIT**** One thing I want to add (dont think it matters but...) The one I installed was the full bf2 deluxe edition.

Well i checked out your gfx chipset here http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-...50.2345.0.html
BF2 doesn't work with integrated chipsets.
Sell your laptop and get one with a real gfx card if you want to play bf2.

the card should work..

im guessinggg it mite be overheating since ur on a laptop and for alot of laptops, the ventillation is on the bottom..and thats not the best place to vent out heat

no that card isn't even to the min requirements...

alot of cards arent in the minimum requriements but can still play the game. my old FX5200 could play the game and its not in the minimum requirements.

Indeed but that doesn't mean all cards excluded from the minimum requirements work, as the creator of this thread has shown, because his doesn't!
