On servers with FF off, sometimes you can walk infront of a claymore and doesn't explode and sometimes explodes but takes only half of you health. Also on some servers you can drive over AT mine and nothing happens, and sometimes it explodes but without hurting the vehicle. What is the difference in the server settings for such a different effects.

Re: FF Question
On some servers, the team damage is set to 50%.
Just last night I ran over an enemy AT mine while driving a tank, but just clipped the very edge of it. It exploded, took off 1/2 the tanks health but killed the gunner riding on top. The server doesn't have the 50% damage rule either. So I believe that sometimes if you touch the very edge of a mine, it will set it off, but not do it's full damage.Comment

Re: FF Question
But what's the difference in the server settings between mine exploding without causing damage, and mine not exploding at all when you drive over it?Comment

Re: FF Question
for friendly mines theres a little tickbox in BF2CC that determines wether or not mines will be detonated by friendlies.
then you have sliders for friendly damage, so you could have bullets on normal, then explosives set at 50% or 0% etcComment
