Key board and mouse locking up

When i start up BF2 everything is going smoothly until i join a server then when its done loading it gos 2 where you have 2 pick your race. But i cant because the mouse is locked and when i try 2 press Esc that doesn't work ether!!

go into "options" " controls" and reset everything to default

All of the controls where blank.....weird ..... well thx for every thing
