i was just wondering what mouse setting people have for flying jets, the sensitivity, YAW factor and pitch factor, thanks ppl

id honestly recommend a cheap joystick even if you don't fly much. i don't know too many people that successfully fly jets with the keyboard and mouse.

I fly very well with keyboard. Took me about 8 months to learn to fly properly, but i can now own most joystick flyers. It just takes a lot more getting used to than a joystick. You also have compensate for the fact that a keyboard doesn't recognise pressure like a joystick. Thus to make a slight turn it often means repeatedly tapping a key.

Buy a joystick with 3d rudder and throttle. Period.

the keys on the keyboard are much better then the mouse, Why? You dont have to worry about the mouse running out of space on the desk so you never have to pick it up for a few seconds and move it. With the arrow keys you can maneuverer to your hearts desire. I have my KB settings to default but now that I have a joystick I use that.

Lol i remember when i first started with M&K, my mouse used to go flying across my desk and i'd end up with a fully out-stretched arm and face right infront of monitor.

After awhile it gets easy and you don't need much room hehe.

I used to believe the same thing. However, once I got the X52 Flight system, my views completely changed. I dont have to tape down my accellerator key. I can perform ariel manuvers much more easily. A split S manuver requires no repositioning of fingers.

Performing loops into the stall-height are easily executed on a joystick, allowing me to touch back into the controllable atmosphere while leaving a conventional KB, or KB/Mouse user stalled.

Furthermore all 3 directional controls are available without effort. Roll is simply pull to the left or right. Rudder controls are a simple twist away, and the pull up and down the pitch - all I need do is pull the joystick.

I'm sure you need to up the sensitivity a bit on your keyboard system. With a joystick and saiteks drivers the sensitivity or rate of the pull drastically increases if you pull the joystick hard.

I used to be a keyboard and mouse user with the Jet. Once you use a joystick successfully there is no going back. All the different view positions are available with a simply turn or push of the POV knob thats often placed into joysticks. Its not a matter of who can own who, its a simple matter of having everything efficiently available to you. Thus a joystick thrives at flying.

Here we go again... It doesnt matter wether you perfer stick or M&KB. It doesnt matter if what sensitivity you use. Practice is all that matters.

Joysticks are the suckage, the mothertrucking muffin munching craptelage of ages, discovered by the masses, and all those stupid asses, for better and for worse, sucking up the server, raping up the carrier, ruining K/D's, and spouting out nonsense, of leetness, and starvation, wanting crack for their nation.

Eh, that was my from the heart assesment of joysticks.

Reread my friend.

You need these buttons for flying a jet:

A, W, D, S, Q, (E), C, F, Q, Shift, Ctrl, Rmb, Lmb, All of those can be reached with your hands with no problems at all. And if you cant your handicapped:)
