CD key invalid WTF?

i've been playing steady for months now..

I go away for the long weekend, when I come back and try and play, it says " cd key not valid".

what's going on? I can log on to my account no problem...
i've been using the same cd key from the start, no problems until now..

I haven't changed any settings... and YES I own a valid copy of BF2.

please help!

simple..make sure u kno ur cd key

go to START > RUN > "REGEDIT" press OK

Then NAVIGATE TO....

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SOFTWARE / ELECTRONIC ARTS / EA GAMES / BATTLEFIELD 2/ ergc and when u click on ergc, on the right hand side, there should be something that says "(Default)" and then double click on that. in teh value data delete everything that is there. Then type in "x9392" then your cd key without any spaces or quotation marks so it looks maybe like
x9392DMVH35ADSA40636SDAW and then hit okay and restart ur game.

I have the same problem kinda just installed BF2 Complete DVD. And i keep getting that error. Tried doing that but doesnt work any help.

nope.. sorry i did just as you explained... it still says cd key not valid.

Pehaps try a good old re install, you'd be surprised how many times thats the solution.

cdheck'd.exe thingy
lol joined this forum to find a solution
-well basically I have done every single possible solution that i have discovered on the internet to no avail. Wut rlly bothers me..besides from not being able to play, r the horrible responses i get from people. Phew..oh well any help would be very much appreciated. For the record i have nvr been able to get n at all..just bought the game. The one wird thing though, i was able to get onto one game at first..had like a 500 ping so log's and tried to find another..and then the cd key thing happens/ on all servers. ranked punkbusted and the like
