Help a noob out with "punkbuster handshake" probs

I tried a search, but didn't find what I was looking for. I have been having no problems with battlefield for the last week since my brother's pc was handed down to me with BF2 installed. But yesterday, I downloaded the Highway Tampa map, and now my pc just keeps locking up, or saying something about login problems due to punkbuster handshake problems. I'm new to this whole thing so if anybody can help me with this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

After updating make sure you restart your computer to be sure.

Sometimes I get that error when McAfee tries to stop PB from accessing the web.

I've had the same exact problem before, and I still have it. For me, the problem goes away after I stop playing BF2 for about an hour.

A guy in clan had this, and tried everything, including reinstall. He it fixed by manually updating PB...
