How do i get rid of the writing in the top left corner showing people killing each other whilst on battle recorder.

eg John_smith [knife] jackie_chan

I need to make a video, and i saw The Pwned Life video achieved it.

Use Battlerecoder- it delete names over characters and the stuff with kills

Battledirector by the sir community, a great little progam that lets you choose what you want to hide (eg name tags) and runs the demo without them. Theres also a fraps like progam that you can activate to film what your doing,

thats when ur ingame, dont work for battle recorder.
my friend uses battlelauncher to view them then records with fraps, battlelauncher removes names

^^ yes, OR

you can add something into the localization files... but I suggest using battlelauncher first.
