    I have hit another snag.

Okay, i reckon someone ( este) can help me with this. What happened was, i configured my network adapters so it runs via my d-link. It was running fine, no drama's whatsoever. I left it on overnight to download the bf2 1.41 patch. When i woke up my, i restarted my comp now it says its connected via dlink and everything it says wlan is connected but then when i click on the internet icon it won't come up it says this page cannot be displayed and i can't get into msn or anything. Whats going on? Will provide more info on request

    thanks all

Re: I have hit another snag.

    Many things to check.

1.) Do you have a correct IP address corresponding to the default gate way (i.e. if your router is 192.168.1.1, yours would be 192.168.1.x, 169.xx is used for unrecognized computers). Make sure your PC is configured for DHCP (this is the default with WinXP and Vista).

2.) Are the DNS servers set up correctly? (If you have a static IP from your router, this is set to either the router IP or the actual DNS servers)

3.) Is the router/dsl modem even connected and online?

Try disabling and re-enabling the wireless adaptor through device manager.

Definately seems like a DNS problem, occasional i get it i run the MSN trouble shooter and keep hitting repair, eventually it fixes it

Normally the troubleshooter says its my DNS & IP so maybe you should try it !
