PnkBstrB handshaking...again

BEFORE YOU AUTOPOST "LOOK AT STICKY", READ THIS:

Ok i went to play BF2 today and i get the PnkBstrB handshaking thing yea yea...but what's this?? I have done every reccomended thing in the sticky? Yes its true I did everything the sticky at the top of the page had to say, yet i still get this error. It's weird though, because i was playing bf2 fine earlier today, and now i get the error message..

Any suggestions?

Ok, check one thing. Go to "run" and type "services.msc". Scroll down and look for Pnkbstr A and B. If one or both are not there, dl and install pbsvc and run the installation. It should run checks and make sure everything is running and working.

ok im getting the same thing, pnkbtrb isnt there, ive downloaded pbsvc and its still not there

I'm having this same problem - Punkbuster B is not in the services list. I've re-installed the service (multiple times now) and get all green lights when I run the test.

I also reinstalled BF2 yesterday and was able to play for several hours, but when I went to join a map after lunch I was kicked again for handshake.

How can it work one minute and not the next?

yeah i was getting this again recently, did you do what i told you rafterman in the other post? try going to the main PB folder and deleting all the html files there except for the pbsetup one and run the update again. (not sure if this is temp solution or not, but so far its working for me)
